Two people were rushed to a major trauma centre yesterday evening (23 May) following a serious collision in Common Road, Stanmore.
Both a man, and woman, the respective drivers of both vehicles, were taken to hospital after the collision which led to Common Road being closed overnight.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told Harrow Online: “We were called at 8.32pm yesterday (24 May) to reports of a road traffic collision on Common Road, Stanmore.
“We sent two ambulance crews to the scene, and treated a man and a woman before taking them both to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “At 20:39hrs on Monday, 23 May police were called to Common Road, Stanmore following reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars.
“Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service.
“The drivers of both vehicles, a 54-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
“The female driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
“Enquiries into the collision continue. Anyone who witnessed it or captured it on a dashcam or other camera should call 101, providing the reference 7253/23MAY.
