Armed police swarm Harrow View after reported ‘firearm discharge’

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after an alleged incident in Harrow View yesterday afternoon (8 June).

Reports of a large emergency services presence, including multiple police cars and ambulances, came into Harrow Online yesterday after the alleged incident. Armed police were also seen by local residents.

Sniffer dogs and forensic police were seen ‘searching bushes’ nearby and at a property in Harrow View.

Met Police told Harrow Online: “Police were called at 11:51hrs on Wednesday, 8 June to Harrow View to reports of a firearms discharge.

“Specialist firearms officers were among those responding.

“Two men – one in his 20s and another in his 60s – were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

“No reports of any injuries.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.35pm yesterday (8 June) to reports of an incident at Harrow View, Harrow.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene, where our medics treated one person who did not need to go to hospital.”
