Police have arrested a man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon after he was found with a samurai sword in Harrow Weald.
The incident happened close to nearby school, Hatch End High, on Friday (10 June) at the junction of Courtenay Avenue and Tillotson Road, Harrow Weald.
Footage of the incident obtained by Harrow Online shows a number of people watching on in horror as the man was detained by police.
A spokesperson for Met Police told Harrow Online: “Police were called to Tillotson Road, HA3, at 15.13hrs on Friday, 10 June to reports of a man carrying a samurai sword.
“Officers attended. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He has been taken into custody.”
