Waterloo Station reopens after being evacuated

There’s severe delays this afternoon (15 June) due to a security alert at Waterloo Station, the station had to be evacuated due to a suspicious package.

British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Waterloo Underground station at 3.53pm today (15 June) following reports of a suspicious package.

“The station was evacuated as a precaution while officers attended to assess the item.

“Thankfully it was deemed to be non-suspicious and the station will shortly be re-opened.”

Tweet the Tube tweeted: “Jubilee Line: No service London Bridge to Green Park. SEVERE DELAYS on the rest of the line while we respond to a security alert at Waterloo.”
