Indian classical music event being held in Pinner this weekend

Pinner Village Hall is hosting an evening of ‘scintillating evening’ of North Indian Classical music this coming Saturday 25th June.

Event organisers say that the audience will be taken on a ‘journey of emotions through two masterful and riveting performances.’

The event will be the first Indian Classical performance in Harrow since the pandemic began back in 2020, and organisers say that this is an evening of entertainment ‘not to be missed’!

The evening will feature a Sarod performance from Ameen Ali Khan, nephew of world-renowned Sarod artist Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. Ameen’s playing is known for its aesthetic purity and tradition, reminiscent of his grandfather’s genius – Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan, one of the most renowned South Asian musicians of the 20th century. Ameen will be performing ‘complex yet euphonic rhythmic and melodic movements’.
