Firefighters respond to reports of smoke near Rayners Lane Station

London Fire Brigade sent ten firefighters to Rayners Lane Station in Harrow yesterday after a fire broke out shortly after 5pm.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “The Brigade was called at 1714 yesterday (June 26) to reports of smoke issuing near Rayners Lane Station. Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters attended the scene. A small amount of rubbish was found alight on the track side, which was quickly extinguished by London Fire Brigade crews.

“The incident was over for firefighters by 1752.”
