A huge family fun day event is being held in Harrow Town Centre this July, hosted by Made in Harrow and London’s Community Kitchen.
Open to all Harrow residents, and completely free to attend, ‘Summerfest’ is to be held on July 23rd and will run throughout the entire day from 11:00am until 7pm. There’s going to be a plethora of food stalls, games and activities taking place including live music, arts and crafts, a full bar, face painting and much much more.
In addition to all the other festivities, this year will feature the second annual Man vs Food chalenge hosted by the ever popular Harrow Food Friends.
Cllr Rashmi Kalubowila, one of the Harrow Food Friends, said: “Last year, the Harrow Food Friends were able to host Harrow’s first ever Man vs Food challenges and this year we’re looking forward to doing it all over again, with hot chillies, hot dogs and even crudités (sliced veg) for the young ones.
“If you can eat hot dogs and pizza at an insane pace, or if you can stomach some of the hottest chillies in the world, we want to see you there. There might be a prize in it for you!”
Event organiser, Taz Khan MBE from London’s Community Kitchen, said: “It’s the calendar event of the year, 2nd year running, a true celebration of everything Harrow has to offer.
“The largest free festival for everyone, celebrating our diversity and putting local business first.
