Harrow firefighters to raise money for charity by washing cars

Harrow firefighters are holding a very special ‘Charity Car Wash’ on 7th August between 11am and 3pm.

The event, being held at Harrow Fire Station, is in aid of The Firefighters Charity who support injured firefighters and their families.

The following is taken from the official Fire Firefighters Charity website: “The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. We provide independent, personalised support to thousands of people each year, and they’re not all firefighters.

“We exist to support all fire and rescue service personnel, whatever their role in the service. We are also here for all those who have retired, as well as for spouses and dependants.”

LFB Harrow tweeted: “Come and get your car washed and help us raise money for @firefighters999 who support injured Firefighters and their families. 7th August 11-3pm Harrow Fire station, Pinner Road.”

We certainly think everyone who want’s their car washed should head down and support this very worthy cause.
