The heatwave is in full swing and Harrow Council have advised residents that bin collections will be slightly earlier than normal this week to help crews cope with the weather.
This week, temperatures could reach record highs with numbers expected to hit the high 30s over the weekend, with Sunday predicted to be the hottest day in Harrow. The council have advised residents to leave bins out the night before, to ensure they don’t miss being collected.
Harrow Council tweeted: “Heatwave: Bins To help crews cope with the heat, they’ll be collecting bins during cooler hours meaning slightly earlier collections than normal. Please leave your bins out the night before or by 5am Thanks for your understanding shown to staff waste services & street cleansing.”
