Exclusive: New B&Q store set to open in Harrow Town Centre

A new B&Q is to open in St Ann’s Road in Harrow Town Centre in the coming months, it has been revealed.

The new store will occupy the old Poundland premises and is due to open this coming winter, meaning lots of Christmas present ideas!.

If the store is in the same vain of the other new, smaller, more localised B&Q branches – Harrow shoppers will be in for a treat. B&Q created these new stores to capitalise on community-focused initiatives for the urban demographic with the Holloway Road store targeted at the local customer – is it possible that this will be the same for the Harrow branch? we shall have to wait and see.

A B&Q Spokesperson said, “We intend to open a new smaller store in Harrow in the Winter. The new store will have a wide range of home improvement products while offering customers access to the full B&Q range of more than 40,000 products through home delivery and Click and Collect.

“We look forward to opening our doors and supporting the people of Harrow with all their home improvement needs.”

A spokesperson for The Harrow Town Centre BID team said: “We are very excited to see a big name store like B&Q investing in the high street. It will be a real boon for the Harrow shopper who needs to pick up a pot of paint in that perfect colour, or needs a specific tool to finish their home improvement job.

“We are looking forward to supporting this new venture as B&Q start to open these smaller high street branches serving customers who are not able to get to larger warehouse branches.”
