How children with SEND can get free local holiday club places in Harrow this Summer

Children across Harrow are already enjoying free holiday activities as part of the government-funded HAF programme.

Now, the Young Harrow Foundation has just added extra SEND specialized programmes for the Summer to its website – which includes a Family Fun Day on the 4th August and a SEND-specialised Summer Camp offering 1:1 support.

All SEND places can be booked here: youngharrowfoundation.org/haf-programme

The Family Fun Day will run on 4th August 2022 and is FREE for children with SEND and their families to enjoy an inclusive, action-packed, day of activities together. This offer is for children in Reception up to Year 6, with SEND.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer throughout. Siblings are welcome to join too. The event will have inflatables, sensory fun, interactive games and activities, and much more. Children will get a chance to try a wide range of activities. There won’t be a boring moment!

The second new SEND programme is a summer camp run by Community Connex  – offering much-needed child care/respite for parents and carers this Summer. They are welcoming young people aged 12-16 with a range of SEND, and have a packed summer of activities and trips.

The Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme is funded by the Department for Education, and Harrow Council and Young Harrow Foundation work with local charities and providers to develop a high-quality offer for children in Harrow to access. The Family Fun Day – being run by Magna Groups UK – is an additional day of provision funded by Harrow School.
