Police have launched an investigation following the death of a woman in Wembley yesterday in the early hours.
Emergency services were called at 02:22hrs on Friday, 29 July, to report that a woman had fallen from height in London Road, Wembley.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Despite their efforts, a 39-year-old woman died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
The death is being treated as unexpected and enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances, led by detectives from Specialist Crime. A post-mortem examination will commence on Friday, 29 July, at Northwick Park Hospital mortuary.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a north London police station.
