The best ice cream parlours and dessert lounges in Harrow

For those of you with a sweet tooth, desserts are usually the perfect end to a meal. However, in Harrow, we are blessed with a number of lounges and parlours where you can go just for the dessert alone – and skip the meal!

Whether it is a tart, pie, crumble, pastry, pudding or ice cream you will be truly spoilt for choices with the amount of ice cream parlours and dessert lounges within the local area.

Harrow is loaded with options for those of you who like to indulge or treat yourself once every so often with family and friends. Below is a list of some of the best dessert lounges in the borough.

Indulge: Harrow is lucky enough to have not one, but two branches of Indulge! the first is in Pinner, just next to Pinner Memorial Park Car Park, and the second is located in Stanmore Hill next to the Library. This place is well worth a visit, the Crepes are one of our favourites but if you’re feeling truly indulgent, the warmed-up cookie dough is just amazing. One of the best around for sure. Address: (Stanmore) The Buckingham House, 11 The Broadway, Stanmore HA7 4EB. Address: (Pinner) 209-211 Marsh Rd, Pinner HA5 5NE.

Twist Dessert Lounge: Twist is known to provide excellent customer service and is one of the most highly recommended dessert lounges around. The waffles are outstanding, yet there is a varied selection of coffees, ice creams, desserts and savouries which are equally satisfying. Address: 374 Pinner Road, North Harrow, Harrow HA26DZ.

Amore Dessert Cafe: Based in Ruislip, Amore serves superb desserts and a range of savoury treats too, the Nachos are highly recommended. The staff are welcoming, polite and communicative. A hidden gem with some of the best Ice Cream sundaes and thick milkshakes you can imagine. Address: 107 Field End Rd, Pinner HA5 1QG

Bru Coffee and Gelato Harrow: Based in St George’s Shopping Centre, the brilliant Bru-crew offer some of the nicest gelatos around and the place has a lovely ambience to it. They serve mouth-watering cakes, satisfying coffees and sinful hot chocolate! The Waffle Pops, and Bronkies are to die for and the ice creams are absolutely delicious. It is truly worth a visit. Address: St Georges Shopping Centre Harrow HA1 1HS

Shakesastic Pinner: Milkshakes you say? – this is the place to go. For top-quality shakes using famous branded chocolates to create them, at reasonable prices too, Shaketastic in Pinner is, in our opinion, the best of the bunch. They offer a variety of ‘Super Indulgent’ or ‘Super Healthy’ shakes and smoothies so there really is something for everyone with small shakes starting at just £3.95.  It’s located on Pinner High Street and the shakes are a perfect way to cool down in the hot weather. Address: 48 High St, Pinner HA5 5PW.
