Harrow Borough have announced the signing of highly rated goalkeeper Jacob Knightbridge on a season-long loan from West Ham.
Jacob, who has also represented England youth level, recently spoke with the Harrow Borough YouTube channel, he said, “It’s a great feeling to be here. I’ve been looking forward to it for a while and have settled in nicely. They’re a great bunch of lads and I’ve enjoyed playing with them so far.
On why he chose Harrow, Jacob added, “Harrow is a good local opportunity for me, who play at a good standard. Meeting Steve (Manager, Steve Baker) before I signed and the way the team play and what Steve is about, I really liked
“Non-League football is a lot different to academy football, but that’s the challenge I want. Being young in this league, I’m going to come up against bigger opponents physically and the Saturday-Tuesday schedule is tough, but I’ll have to make sure I’m strong enough to deal with it”.
“I pride myself on organising and communication, which is particularly important when coming into a team to establish myself and I think that’s the best way I can help the team win games.”
Jacob’s Harrow Borough career got off to a good start as he kept a clean sheet on his full debut in their first league game on Saturday in the 0-0 draw at Tiverton Town.
