With the summer days drawing to a close, and autumn on the horizon, now is the perfect time to catch a glimpse of the soon-to-be earlier sunsets in our lovely borough of Harrow. But where is the best place to go to watch it set you to ask? You won’t find anywhere better than Harrow Viewpoint.
The scenic location, which reopened in July 2021, is located in Old Redding, Harrow. There is a car park open until 7pm in the summer so can enjoy the view whilst being in your car or step outside to take a walk in the nearby Harrow Weald Common.
Ever since the reopening of Harrow Viewpoint, there are now designated areas for the cars so the greenery is not disturbed. The intention is to ensure the layout and appearance of the site is welcoming and beautiful; with nothing tainting or obstructing the view. You can visit this spot during any season and see right across North London. You can watch the lights during Christmas, enjoy the fireworks during New Year’s or Diwali, and enjoy the heatwave during summer and watch the sunset all whilst being surrounded by peace and tranquillity.
You have a great view of the sky and you can see right across Harrow whilst being at a peak point. This spot is perfect for people who want to relax and hang out, by themselves or with friends/family. You can even have picnics – and what a perfect way to spend an evening, afternoon or even morning; watching the sunset/sunrise with your loved ones, reminiscing over life and loving the world.
