Belmont Bay fish bar have been doing some fantastic charitable work this week by providing 20 portions of free fish and chips to a local homeless shelter.
FirmFoundation, based in Harrow, provide shelter and meals for rough sleepers in the borough weekly. As a registered charity, they help “relieve the immediate suffering of the homeless, while working with them to find a practical and sustainable solution to their needs.”
The foundation helped over 120 people in the first 5 years of the scheme after being founded in 2010.
The team at Belmont Bay, based in Belmont Circle, and ever popular with the Harrow Online audience, said they are “proud to be doing their bit for such a good cause.”
John Ioannou, Proprietor at Belmont Bay, said: “I was honoured to be able to deliver fish and chips for such a great charity and hearing some of the guy’s stories and experiences really touched my heart and made it worth while.”
