Burst pipe in Stanmore leaves some residents without water

A burst pipe in Stanmore left some residents without water this morning as Affinity Water quickly arrived at the scene.

The pipe was located on London Road, next to the junction with Merrion Avenue near Stanmore Station. While the pipe was fixed quickly by Affinity Water, the works caused another pipe to burst in the process.

An update on the Affinity Water website at 10:15am said: “We’re really sorry you haven’t got any water. We’ve been made aware of a burst water main on London Road which may be causing this.
