Sir Anthony Hopkins spotted filming new movie in Pinner

Sir Anthony Hopkins CBE has been spotted in Pinner filming scenes for an upcoming new movie.

The Welsh actor was spotted on Pinner High Street yesterday afternoon (16 September) along with co-star Lena Olin, as they were shooting scenes believed to be for One Life, an upcoming Nicholas Winton biopic.

One Life, filming across the UK and Czech Republic from August through October, also stars Johnny Flynn (who played David Bowie in Stardust) and Helena Bonham Carter who will play the role of Nicholas Winton’s mother, Babi Winton.

The scene shot in Pinner was a flashback to the 1980s and saw the entire road closed off to traffic and also pedestrians (when needed) whilst filming was in progress.

Pinner High Street was transformed into a 1980s era themed setting, with many shops getting a special facelift for the movie with new facias and names.

Popular hair salon, Luke Ormsby Hair, was renamed at ‘Cutting Edge’ for the takes along with others being rebranded for the film shoot.

Chevonne, Social Media Manager for Luke Ormsby Hair, told Harrow Online: “Yesterday was an even more exciting day than usual at Luke Ormsby Hair in Pinner! We were lucky enough to have Hollywood stars Sir Anthony Hopkins and Lena Olin outside of our salon for day whilst they filmed their latest movie ‘One Life’.

“The salon along with other shops along the high street was turned into a 1980s salon called ‘Cutting Edge’ Sir Anthony was incredibly friendly and posed for pictures with the team and clients in between takes much to our delight!.”
