London North West University Health Care, the trust responsible for Northwick Park Hospital, found a tasty and much appreciated way of saying thank you to St Luke’s Hospice.
In a nice gesture, to thank the hospice for all it does to improve the lives of its patients, a sweet surprise was recently delivered to all staff at the hospice in the form of cupcakes!
During the pandemic, St Luke’s provided support to Northwick Park and this gesture was just a little ‘thank you’ for their efforts.
Dr. Charles Daniels, Medical Director at St Luke’s said: “This gesture from the hospital means so much to me and my colleagues. Our staff have gone the extra mile, worked doubly hard, worked extra shifts or at weekends and done extraordinary things to help transfer patients back home or to the hospice.
“Until now they only knew how much this mattered to patients and their families. Now we know how much we are also appreciated by our professional colleagues.
“This lovely gesture from Northwick Park is a wonderful way to acknowledge all that the hospice does to support the hospital every day.”
