Starting next month, residents will be able to book up to two trips per day to recycle their waste at Forward Drive, Harrow Council have announced.
The new rules will provide more flexibility and ease when making a booking to use the centre and have now been officially approved. Harrow Council’s cabinet members gave the green light to the introduction of a multi-booking system allowing up to two visits a day to dispose of waste.
Residents visiting Harrow Recycling Centre will still need to bring form of photo ID, such as their drivers’ licence, proof of address and their booking confirmation to gain entry.
Cllr Anjana Patel, Harrow Council’s cabinet member for environment and community safety said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for residents to dispose of their waste the right way. By delivering more flexibility, and improving the customer experience, we are putting residents first.”
The one-visit-per-day rule came into force when the booking system was introduced back in 2020, just after the first covid lockdown. The new system, starting in November, will allow residents to dispose of waste more efficiently and quickly.
