‘Harroween’ – What to do in Harrow this Halloween

With the days getting shorter and the night coming around faster, it is truly beginning to feel like winter again but before we get excited about the holiday season, there is one day that comes first. Halloween is just weeks away and to get into the spooky spirit here is the rundown of everything happening across Harrow this Halloween. 

Halloween Spooky Specials

This year you and the family can take a trip on the spookiest railway. The train ride takes you around the grounds of Harlow Gardens. Running from early afternoon to late in the evening, there is a time for everyone to enjoy. Featured across the scenic route are special effects that feature ghosts and more. Tickets are just £3 so make sure to get tickets whilst you can!

Storytelling – 26th October – £3.50

Another event fit for families is the Halloween storytelling taking place in Headstone Manor and Museum. Sessions are being run by Dave Tonge who will be telling the tales of demons, wicked witches and other spooky tales of the past. Fancy dress is also encouraged and costumes will all be rewarded with a tasty treat – without the tricks. 

Greenford Quay Halloween Festival – 29th October 

Down at Greenford Quay you can take a spooky tour along an interactive Halloween trail. The trail is full of games and things to do. Featuring at the festival is Aid Mina Murray, Vampire Hunter and Dr Van Helsing who fight in the quest to stop Dracula from bringing frights upon everyone. Joining the party is also the Pirate Crew and the White Lady of Greenford. Finishing off the interactive adventure is a witches disco where everyone can have fun and celebrate the move into the holiday season!

Halloween Party – 29th October 

For those who are looking for something to last into the later hours of the evening then this may be the perfect event for you. Trinity Bar is holding a Halloween party featuring spooky decorations, horror movies on the big screen, DJ’s playing all your favourite Halloween classics and indie rock anthems along with scary and gruesome cocktails and shots. Fancy dress is essential and the night is free before 11pm and £5 after.

Terror on Pinner Road – 29th October
 

Another evening for those looking for something a bit more lively is Terror on Pinner Road. Taking place at McCaffertys Bar, the event is sure to run throughout the night. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favourite spooky character and will also have the chance of winning a £50 bar tab for the best dressed. Performing throughout the night is the Irish Brigade who will he sure to bring the perfect vibes for a Halloween night out. 

Halloween Trail – 30th Oct 

On the day before Halloween, Eastcote House Gardens are holding a fundraising event that will feature a Halloween themed trail, a craft fair, games and a costume party. The trail will take place from 12pm to 4pmand tickets will cost £6 per child. Tickets include trail pack, making a decoration for your door, tattoos and crafts. Fundraising will support the local scouts group to attend the World Scout Jamboree next year and the event is for under 11s only.
