First photos show Honeypot Lane closed off and debris in the road following multiple collision

The first photos and footage show debris strewn all over the road and a large police presence at Honeypot Lane, Stanmore following an incident in the early hours of this morning.

Tree collapsed in the road.

A man has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after a black BMW collided with two vehicles and hit a tree near the junction of Whitchurch Lane leading towards Edgware.

Police attempted to stop a vehcile but the driver failed to stop when indicated. He drove away from officers who pursued him, the Met said.

The occupant of one of the other vehicles, a 36-year-old man, was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-life threatening but potentially life-changing.”

One of the vehicles had also collided with the traffic lights at the junction leaving them completely destroyed.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.37am today (19 October) to reports of a road traffic collision on Honeypot Lane, Stanmore.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a fast response car to the scene and treated a man before taking him to hospital.”
