Harrow Road stabbing victim named by police

A 33-year-old-man has been charged in connection with the murder of a man in Brent.

Theo Simon, 33, of Wood Green, was charged on Monday, 31 October, with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 1 November.

Police were called at 1:50am on Sunday, 30 October, to reports of a stabbing outside a restaurant in Harrow Road, Sudbury.

Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. A 21-year-old man was found with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died a short time later.

He has been identified as Givani Espuet from north London. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. A post-mortem examination will take place on Tuesday, 1 November.
