Well, it’s that time of year again, Harrow gets lit up with fireworks at the massive display this Saturday (5 Nov) at Byron Park.
However this year, organisers have said that “there are a few changes.”
If you’ve been to the event before you’ll know that the display usually has three, sometimes four, very big rides one of them being a spinning cage – this ride is OUT and has been replaced by the ever-popular ‘Twister’!
If you’re a regular at Pinner Fair, you’ll know what a Twister is, however, if you’re not familiar, have a look at the picture below.
The display fun fair will also have some different children’s rides and attractions this year – you’ll have to visit to find out more about those! All we will say is, from what we’ve heard, you won’t be disappointed!.
In addition to the new ride and attractions, a comedian and magician will perform a special pre-show act, an added bonus courtesy of Fizz Kids Entertainment.
Kurtis from Fizz Kids will be performing for the Harrow Fireworks pre-show this Saturday night.
Having previously performed for Butlins, Disney and various cruise ships all around the world, you can expect to be entertained with lots of interaction, singing, dancing and laughter before the main event itself.
Kurtis also entertains for children’s parties in Harrow – you can book him and his team direct by visiting www.fizzkids.co.uk
The food presence and bar will be much greater this year allowing parents to enjoy some warm food and a tipple while children enjoy the funfair.
As our park has gone through a couple of changes, there is only one entrance to the field which is via the main entrance in Peel Road, Wealdstone.
There will be some road closures and parking restrictions in place this Saturday that will be in force on the following roads – Peel Road, Belmont Road, Byron Road, Stewart Road and Canning Road. Byron Park car park will also be closed. The Harrow Fireworks Display team advise attendees to use public transport where possible or take a short walk.
Harrow Fireworks currently (as of 3 November) have a ‘Flash, Bang, Sale!’ for the display available at www.harrowfireworks.co.uk/buy-tickets
You can use the promo code harrow10 for 10% off 24 hours only. Tickets are of course available at the gate at £10 for adults 16+ and £8 for kids 3 – 15. Children under the age of 3 years old get free entry.
Event organiser David Silber told Harrow Online: “We are looking forward to seeing all our lovely Harrow residents at this year’s display that will be better than ever. Join all the other people celebrating Diwali and Guy Fawkes night in one huge, double celebration specially organised for people across Harrow and Brent. See you on Saturday and make sure you get there nice and early to avoid queuing!.”
