Harrow-based St Luke’s Hospice has expressed its sincere gratitude for the ‘determination and spirit of the team at Grant Harrod Lerman Davis LLP’ after the longstanding supporters raised over £21,000 for the Hospice by walking across every bridge in London in just one day in September.
Speaking about the achievement, Jeremy Harrod, Partner at GHLD said: “As a local firm of accountants we were delighted that we were able to help a local charity in the fantastic work they do. Our clients were generous in their donations in the knowledge that the money will be put to excellent use.”
Roshni Prajapati, Partner at GHLD told us: “The walk itself was challenging as I had never walked 16 miles before but having had had a family member being cared for by St Luke’s several years ago, it was fantastic to be able to do something for them, knowing that the money being raised would be used in such a great way.”
Lindsey Bennister, Chief Executive Officer at St Luke’s Hospice, expressed her admiration, adding: “Thank you and well done to everyone at Grant Harrod Lerman Davis LLP for making this huge effort to raise such a fantastic amount of money for St Luke’s. All our services are offered free of charge but we are only partially funded by the NHS. The care of 6 out of every 10 patients is paid for by our generous community in Harrow & Brent. This why fundraising is so vital to us and matters so much.”
