Schools in Harrow have received some of the best provisional GCSE and Key Stage 2 results across the country.
Schools will be celebrating the excellent 2022 results that have positioned Harrow at the top of local authorities nationally.
In some welcome news, Harrow has ranked 4th, within the top 3%, amongst 151 local authorities across the country for its GCSE Progress 8 score and its Attainment 8 score ranked 14th.
In addition, Harrow came 6th nationally for the percentage of its pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics at Key Stage 2 (pupils leaving primary school).
Cllr Hitesh Karia, responsible for Children’s services and Schools at Harrow Council, said: “This clearly confirms what we have always known about our educational standards within Harrow in being outstanding.
“It is a credit to our wonderful heads, teachers and the school staff who continue to do an excellent job, as well as to the families in Harrow for their ongoing support and of course the hard work of the children themselves.
“Putting education and our future generations first is just one of the reasons in taking pride in living, working and bringing up children in the borough of Harrow.”
