‘First of it’s kind’ business showcase event held at Northwood School

An event described as the ‘first of its kind’ was held at Northwood School on Saturday 12th November organised by The KSIMC of London.

The event saw small business owners come together to showcase their products and services to other members, allowing connections and business relationships to be formed with like-minded local people.

Sukaina Nurmohamed, Executive Committee Member of The KSIMC of London and Event Organiser said: “It was great to see the wide array of businesses on the day, over 40 businesses took part from Lettings Agents to Web Designers to Fitness Supplement companies to name a few. It was great to see the talent, creativity and abilities in our community all under one roof supporting and drawing inspiration from one another. We are truly blessed to have such a vibrant community with many entrepreneurs following the pursuit of their dreams and passion.

“With over five hundred attendees at the event there was a great buzz and the atmosphere was phenomenal. We were also fortunate to receive great words of advice by our guest speakers.”

Attendees and guest speakers at the event included who included Cllr Janet Mote (Mayor of Harrow), Cllr Abbasali Merali (Deputy Chairman Political SW Herts Conservatives), Dr Mahmood Mawjee (Transformation Speaker and Sales Coach), Sonya Moledina (Etiquette and Emotional Intelligence Coach) and Suhail Nurmohamed (Entrepreneur & Chief Marketing Officer).

Running parallel to the exhibition, there was also entertainment on offer for children aged four and up with activities such as arts & crafts sessions, face painting and a fitness class conducted by Maryam Datoo.

Sukaina Nurmohamed added: “This in-person event would not have been possible without the selfless volunteers who all worked extremely hard and put in their valuable time to hold an event on this scale. A special thank you to our generous sponsors Smartax, SR Estates and Ooh Lala Oud.

“We would like to say thank you to Abdulbhai and Sherbanubai Datoo who Video graphed and photographed the event, Shahidali Khaki and Miqdad Somji who provided AV services, Car Park Volunteers who ensured parking arrangements went smoothly and lastly the Core Team behind the organisation of this event Azmina Mawjee, Arif Hussein, Rizwan Khimji, Sajeda Jaffer, Akilla Ladak-Rattansi and Shahista Jaffer.”
