The Harrow Town Centre team have announced plans for a huge Festive Fun Day to be held to celebrate the Christmas season.
Next Saturday, 26 November, we’ll be seeing a large stage on St Anns Road (near Primark) with performances from Rock Choir, Indie Choir, Dhol Drummers and dancers from Harrow’s very own, Kidology Dance Co.
In a special new addition to the festivities, St George & The Christmas Dragon will be posing for photos with shoppers to create a magical Christmas experience at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm for 30-minute sessions in St George’s Shopping Centre. Shoppers who post their photos with the dragon on social media, and tag St George’s Shopping Centre, will have the chance to win a prize.
Additionally, the performers from Jack and the Beanstalk, this year’s festive panto at Harrow Arts Center, will be performing on the main stage. The event will be wrapped up when the Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Janet Mote, switches on the Christmas lights accompanied by a unique laser light show, not seen before at the Harrow Town Centre celebrations.
There will also be a dedicated Kid’s Zone at Greenhill Place with circus acts, face painting and stilt walkers and Santa’s Grotto (for one day only) with each child visiting him receiving a gift.
Over the coming weeks, there will be plenty of other festive fun to be had in the town centre with a Street Market, Grinch Grotto and Skating Rink all in the pipeline. Watch this space for more info on these upcoming events.
