Man from Harrow being investigated after assault in Watford High Street

Police in Watford have appealed for witnesses to come forward as part of continued enquiries into an assault in Watford.

Police confirmed that the incident happened at Marcel’s Bar and Tapas, in the High Street, at around 11.30pm on Saturday 10 December.

Police also confirmed that a 31-year-old man from Harrow has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

It was reported that an altercation occurred between two males in the bar area, during which one of them was allegedly struck to the face with a glass, sustaining a deep cut.

Detective Constable Ian Blackledge, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing at this time, including a review of CCTV. As part of our investigation, we’d also like to hear from witnesses who were at the location and saw what happened, or events prior to it.
