London Fire Brigade were called to Harrow Weald on New Year’s Eve after a fire was reported on Courtenay Avenue in the early hours of the morning.
The fire was reported shortly after 1:30am with firefighters from Harrow fire station rushing to the scene. In photos and footage sent to Harrow Online, residents could be seen crowding outside the property as the Brigade tackled the fence fire at the side of the house.
One person said: “I noticed a fire and stopped to make sure everyone was ok, by this time the fire brigade were already there.”

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters and one fire engine from Harrow fire station attended a fence fire on Courtenay Avenue on 1 January. The Brigade was called at 0136 and the fire was under control by 0148.”
