Harrow residents were shocked to see one of the most prominent meteor sighting flying through the night sky across the borough yesterday evening.
Hundreds of people reported a meteor visible in the sky throughout London as The Met Office confirmed the sightings via their social media channels.
Th Met Office tweeted: “Reports of a meteor in the sky over the UK just now. If you managed to take any footage we’d love to see it.”
One Harrow resident said: “I’ve just seen the biggest meteor I’ve ever seen flying over my house, please tell me someone else has seen this? So beautiful and a clear night.”

Another Harrow Online member posted: “Did anyone else in Harrow see this too? (8:00 p.m.). Seemed to shoot across the sky for about 10 seconds and glowed all different colours. Wasn’t sure what I’d seen because it was so unusual. So pleased someone filmed it.”
