Are you craving hot tea? Of course, who doesn’t want to grab a tea, relax and sit down while sipping on it with a friend at the brand new Asian-inspired snack cafe at ‘Hi Chai’ in Harrow Town Centre?
Well, your inner satisfaction will get fulfilled once you head down to Station Road, Harrow, something we should all be doing more of! This brand new eatery in the town centre goes far beyond the bounds of its name ‘Hi Chai’.
Another Karak-Chai (strong-tea) brand lives on the street at Harrow. Yes, there’s plenty of chai here, and to be honest, it’s a dream come true for somebody who is craving an Asian-style hot drink – and this is one instance where you really do get what you pay for.
On a cloudy Saturday afternoon, I received a call from my dad as he loves travelling and trying new eateries in Harrow. He had checked in himself to the welcoming ‘Hi Chai’ to try it out. He immediately rang me telling me how amazing the ambience is, and how nice the famous Indian snack ‘Pani Puri’, straight from the Asian streets, was that he had tried. That along with a ‘Garam-Chai’ (hot tea), had satisfied his soul and was described as “jaw-droppingly good.”
His experience with just a plate of ‘Pani-Puri’ snacks, and a cup of hot tea brought him nostalgic memories as thought about the good old days on the streets of Mumbai, India. It definitely made my heart melt and made me want to run ‘Hi Chai’ straight away! Hehe!.
The food is Halal and features authentic, Asian street food including Stuffed Paratha, Bun Kabab, Bombay Sandwich, Papdi Chaat, Vada Pav, Chaat Masala Chips with mouthwatering sweets like Gajjar Halwa, Gulab Jamun and the famous ‘Lassis are among the standouts.
You can check them out on their Instagram page under their food brand ‘Hi Chai’. Other bits I didn’t try looked tempting with a mix of non-veg and vegan options to cater for everyone.
On the launch night, there was a very lavish and fancy car parked at the entrance of the outlet to mark the occasion!. So, if you’re looking out for a romantic date, family time, business meeting or a small catch-up with friends, look no further to say ‘Hi’ to ‘Hi Chai’ in Harrow Town Centre, you won’t regret it.
