A man has tragically died following a fire at a property in Hendon.
The fire was at a three-storey house leaving the bedsit, located at the bottom, completely destroyed by the blaze.
Posting via their website today, London Fire Brigade said: “Sadly, a man has died following a fire at a bedsit on Alexandra Road in Hendon.
“A bedsit on the first floor of a three-storey terraced house was completely destroyed by the fire. A man from a bedsit in the loft, left the building before the Brigade arrived. Another man was rescued by fire crews and taken to hospital where he sadly later died.
“The Brigade was called at 1833 and the fire was under control 1958. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Hendon and Mill Hill fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
