A delivery driver has been assaulted and robbed of his moped and mobile phone in South Harrow.
The incident happened shortly after 6:30pm on Sunday (12 Feb) at Osmond Close near South Harrow Police Station.
Speaking exclusively to Harrow Online, the victim of the assault said: “I am a part time food delivery driver and today during my delivery, around 6:40pm at Osmand close, South Harrow, a group of teenagers (around 8-10) stopped me and started kicking and hitting me when I was on my bike.
“Then they stole my bike and phone. This is the third time this has happened in the same area with a food delivery rider.
“I want you to post this in your page and make everyone aware.”
Met Police told Harrow Online: “At 2000hrs on Sunday, 12 February, police received a report of a robbery at Osmond Close, Harrow.
“The victim, aged 30s, was delivering food to an address, before he reached the address he was approached by a group of males who surrounded him, assaulted him and took his mobile phone and his moped.
“The moped was later recovered at West Harrow Recreation Ground.
“The suspects are believed to be males, aged 16-20 years.
“There have been no arrests.”
