The refurbishment of 36 tennis courts in Harrow started today.

Byron Recreation Ground in Wealdstone and Harrow Weald Recreation Ground (aka Boxtree Park) are the first to see activity from today (Wednesday 1 March) with the arrival of diggers, materials and skips.

Earlier this week, Harrow Council revealed that has £587,000 been received from the Lawn Tennis Association to bring the tennis courts across Harrow up to a good standard.

Tomorrow, work is due to commence in Headstone Manor Park with further works planned for the other 12 parks across Harrow all commencing this month.

We took a trip to Harrow Weald Rec to take a few pics to show you what’s been happening, we will continue to update when there’s further activity.
