Three police officers assaulted in Belmont Circle

Three police officers were injured after being assaulted in Belmont Circle last night at around 8:30pm.

In footage seen by Harrow Online, multiple police vehicles could be seen at the junction with Kenmore Avenue and Kenton Lane, next to Belmont Circle, as multiple officers rushed to the scene to help the officers detain the suspects.

Met Police told Harrow Online: “At around 20:30hrs on Sunday, 5 March, police on patrol in Harrow sought to speak with the occupants of a vehicle in Belmont Circle.

“Three of the four occupants did not comply with police and assaulted the officers.

“Three officers were injured. Two of them, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged.

“The three men, aged 29, 33 and 35, were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in police custody.

Inspector Greg Wilkinson, of the Met’s North West BCU, said: “It is entirely unacceptable that officers making legitimate and reasonable enquiries were assaulted in this way.

“Additional officers were rapidly deployed, enabling the three suspects to be detained.”
