Opening date and vendors announced for Market Place Harrow

Market Place London, the new eatery and social hub opening in Harrow Town Centre, have revealed that they are set to open its doors on Easter weekend.

Marking the brand’s first site in area, and located in the newly renovated space at 80-84 St Ann’s Road, Harrow’s new street food market will open its doors on Thursday 6 April, a date for your diaries if you want to check it out!

Standout features of the venue include a vibrant bar, industrial exposed ceilings, as well as green foliage and modern neon signage, to create a cool aesthetic that it expected to go down well with local residents.

The new space has a capacity for up to 300 people across both indoor and outdoor areas, with multiple seating zones ideal for families, working individuals and semi-private parties. It will also be family and dog-friendly and offer juice, coffee and free Wi-Fi to customers.

Eight permanent vendors have signed up to be part of Market Street London in Harrow including Borough Market’s renowned Bread Ahead Bakery serving its signature doughnuts and more; spicy Indo-Chinese brand Pepper Spice; Japanese street food brand Little Tokyo, and milky masala maestros Chaii & Spice.

South American meat specialists Argentinian Grill and authentic Turkish brand Farm House Kebabs will also be joining the roster of vendors bringing more than 65 jobs to the area.

Blake Henderson, managing director of Market Place London, said: “Harrow is a location that has so much untapped potential – especially for independent food vendors. At Market Place, we’re champions of independent business and strive to celebrate those who often don’t have as much of a presence in the food and drink sector.

Market Place London is to open in Harrow Town Centre.

“For us, it’s about providing incredible chefs and businesses with the opportunity to thrive, by offering fully-fitted units at a fraction of the cost of a standalone shop, on a bustling street with a high footfall. This support for independents is an ethos we’ve taken into all areas of Market Place and as such, we also committed to solely using local suppliers, electricians, plumbers, and carpenters in the creation of Market Place Harrow.

“Across all our Market Place venues, our aim is always to bring brilliant new flavours and foods to the public. We’ve worked hard to secure some fantastic traders who will offer something for all tastes. We’re also looking forward to championing some of our longstanding vendors with us to Harrow, such as the much-loved Argentinian Grill team.

“It’s not just about fantastic food at Market Place too, but our line-up of entertainment and DJs throughout our launch week and beyond is sure to turn heads on Harrow’s high street.

“Market Place Harrow is set to be a brilliant space, and we’re really excited to open our doors and welcome foodies next month.”

Harrow Town Centre will welcome its new Market Place from 11.00am-11.30pm, Monday to Sunday from 6 April 2023.
