Edgware’s Flash Musicals set to appear on BBC One tonight

Excitement is building in Harrow as a local dance school is set to appear on one of the UK’s most popular television shows.

Flash Musicals, a youth dance school based in Edgware, has been invited to perform on BBC 1’s Big Night of Musicals.

The school, which has been operating in the area for over 25 years, has a strong focus on community work and has been involved in a number of projects in and around Harrow. The invitation to perform on the show came after comedian Jason Manford saw one of their performances back in February.

The dance theatre will perform a piece from The Greatest Showman, the 2017 movie starring Hugh Jackman.

It’s understood that Flash Musicals has been rehearsing tirelessly in the run-up to the show, with dancers ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old. The school’s performance promises to be a high-energy extravaganza, featuring a mix of contemporary and traditional dance styles.

Local residents have been quick to show their support for the school, with many taking to social media to express their excitement. One former Edgware resident, and member of Harrow Online, Daniel Brown, said: “It’s fantastic to see a local dance school getting the recognition they deserve. Flash Musicals has been a real asset to the community and I can’t wait to see them on TV tonight.”
