Some Harrow residents without water due to burst pipe

Residents in the Harrow area have been left without water this morning due to a burst water main on Headstone Lane.

The issue is known to be affecting those within the HA2 post code. Affinity Water, the water supply company responsible for the area, issued an apology to affected customers via their website.

“We’re really sorry you haven’t got any water. We’ve been made aware of a burst water main on Headstone Lane which may be causing this,” Affinity Water said via their website.

The company assured customers that their technician was on their way to the area to investigate the issue and restore the water supply as soon as possible.

While the repair work is ongoing, Affinity Water advised residents to avoid using their washing machine, dishwasher, and any other electrical appliances that use water. They also recommended that residents store some water in their fridge or kettle for drinking in case the water supply needs to be turned off during the repair process.

“We’re really sorry about this, we’re working to get your water back to normal as soon as possible,” Affinity Water added.

The company said they will provide an update on the situation at 12:30, and urged affected residents to check their website for the latest information.

Update 14:30: Affinity Water updated with the following: “Our repair team has arrived on Headstone Lane and are now digging to expose the burst pipe. We should know how long this will take us to repair once we have exposed the pipe.

“We’re really sorry and we’re working hard to get your water flowing again soon.”
