The nominations for the 2024 British Kebab Awards are now open, and kebab restaurants and takeaways across Harrow are invited to enter.
The annual event, now in its 12th year, is a celebration of the UK’s kebab industry’s diversity and quality. The awards recognize the hard work and dedication of the individuals who make it possible.
This year’s event, which is considered a staple in the culinary calendar, will be the biggest and best yet, according to Ibrahim Dogus, the founder of the British Kebab Awards. The event is run in association with JUST EAT and supported by the Kebab Alliance, the trade body for the sector.
Members of the public can nominate their favourite kebab restaurant or takeaway for the British Kebab Awards at https://voting.britishkebabawards.com/. The finalists will compete for 20 prestigious awards, including Best Kebab Van and Best Vegan Kebab. Eight awards will be presented to the best kebab restaurants across the UK.
The kebab industry has become an essential part of our daily lives, enjoying a revolution as part of a sit-down meal with family and friends, as a quick healthy lunch, or delicious takeaway on the way home from work. The industry is now estimated to be worth over £2.8bn to the British economy, with more than 1.3m kebabs sold across Britain every day.
Harrow has several kebab shops that people can nominate, including Kemps BBQ in Harrow Weald, Kebab Land, Kebab City or Melissa, all in Harrow Town Centre, Yaprak in Pinner – just to name but a few of our boroughs gems.
The award winners will be announced in early 2024, so be sure to nominate your favourite kebab house soon.
