Vehicle seen ‘dangerously overtaking’ in Hatch End

A driver has had his car impounded by police after he was caught overtaking dangerously without a substantive driving license.

The incident occurred on Saturday, April 15th, in Hatch End, and was swiftly stopped by officers on patrol from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

Stanmore Park Police tweeted about the incident, saying: “Vehicle seen today dangerously overtaking traffic which was swiftly stopped by SNT officers on patrol. Unfortunately for this driver he didn’t have a substantive driving license! Thus his car will be impounded and offences dealt with accordingly.”

It is not yet clear what specific charges the driver will face, but it is possible that he will be prosecuted for driving without a license, as well as for dangerous driving.

The police have not released any further details about the driver or the incident.
