Commuters in Ruislip are set to face a month of disruption as a major road in the area is set to be closed off for roadworks.
Great Central Avenue, located just opposite South Ruislip Station, will be closed from 29 April until 28 May, according to information provided by One Signal.
The road closure is part of the ongoing work being carried out by HS2 Ltd, which is responsible for the project. Although the works have been automatically assigned an unclassified category, it is expected that there will be significant delays for motorists during this period.

The closure of Great Central Avenue is expected to cause disruption for residents and businesses in the area. The closure will also affect public transport services, with buses likely to be diverted during the works.
Local residents and businesses are being urged to plan their journeys in advance and to allow extra time to reach their destinations. Motorists are also being advised to use alternative routes where possible and to follow the diversion routes that will be put in place.
The closure of Great Central Avenue is just the latest in a series of roadworks and disruptions that have affected Ruislip, Hs2 will also be undertaking work in Long Drive during the same period, located just off Field End Road. This will be managed by signals and not a full road closure, however.
