Harrow Wins announces £1000 prize draw for good causes this Saturday

Harrow Council’s community lottery, Harrow Wins, has been providing residents with the chance to win a £25,000 jackpot every week since it was launched.

At least 60% of each ticket sold goes towards supporting Harrow, with all the good causes supported by the lottery benefiting the community and its residents.

To encourage more people to take part and support good causes, Harrow Council recently tweeted that charities that sell more than 20 tickets will be entered into a prize draw to win £1,000. The draw will take place on Saturday 6 May.

Playing the lottery is simple and affordable, with tickets costing just £1 per week. A weekly draw takes place every Saturday night, and players who match all six numbers win the jackpot.

Cllr Jean Lammiman, Cabinet member for Community and Culture said:“Harrow Wins is a fun and effective way to raise funds for services that are valued in our community and to support people in need. It’s a great funding stream for our local voluntary sector and I am so pleased it is supporting those who need that extra bit of support or are struggling through the cost-of living crisis.

“I would encourage as many local groups to join and make use of this great platform to fund activities and continue vital work in the community.”

For good causes looking to raise funds online, Harrow Wins offers a no-risk option, as it is free to set up. The lottery takes a small percentage from every ticket sold to cover the costs of running the lottery, with just 50 tickets sold per week raising £1,300 every year.
