For those unfamiliar, Pinner Village Gardens is a huge and popular community park which is spread over 6 acres of land.
It provides numerous facilities for fun and recreation besides being blessed with specimen trees, fruit trees, shrubs and flower beds visitors can equally enjoy large open green spaces not only to exercise but also to admire the scenery and rest.
Popular attractions and things to do include around the park include a stroll in the Rose Garden, the children’s play ground, watching the beautiful dragonflies around the pond, rock climbing and usage of table tennis and tennis courts and gym equipment.
The Friends Of Pinner Village Garden are all set to celebrate the Coronation in style with a Coronation Picnic and Fun Event this Sunday 7th May from 12:00pm till 4:00pm.
To keep the public entertained and ensure it is a great day out for the family, a special effort has been made to provide live music and activities including the Harrow Street Band, Children’s Rides, Food and various stalls.
These stalls and local traders will be contributing towards the donation for the upkeep of Pinner Village Gardens. One of the main highlights of the event is the nature pond dipping which is at 1:30pm.
Another major attraction will be the dog show at 2:30pm. There are many thrilling categories awarded in the show such as the ‘Most Royal Promenade’ where the dog owner be paraded in a royal fancy dress, not the dog!.
Registration for the dog show needs to be done before 2:00pm and it is 1 pound per category with varied categories to choose from and prizes to be won.
