Police activity in High Street, Wealdstone sparked concern among local residents last night, as several police officers were seen wearing rubber gloves near the Holy Trinity Church.
Eyewitnesses reported that the road was partially blocked by a police car for a short while, shortly before 9pm.
Around eight officers were spotted wearing rubber gloves next to the church, leading to speculation about the nature of the police activity.
One member of Harrow Online said: “I got off the train coming home and there was a police van outside Asda, 8-9 police officers with rubber gloves loitering around the side of the church nearby and the police car blocking the road further up.”
Harrow Online reached out to the Metropolitan Police to inquire about the incident, but they were unable to provide any details, stating that they were “not aware of anything significant” at the location.
