A man has sadly died at Greenford Underground station on the evening of May 12.
The incident led to a large police presence at the station, with the Central Line being partially suspended between West Ruislip and North Acton.
Transport for London (TfL) tweeted at 7:52pm on Friday, informing commuters that the service had been affected due to an ongoing incident on the tracks. British Transport Police were called to the scene at 6:39pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement to Harrow Online, a spokesperson for British Transport Police said, “Officers were called to Greenford Underground station at 6.39pm on 12 May to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The identity of the man has not been released.
