Upcoming Roadworks: Long Elmes, Watford Road and Bessborough Road in Harrow

Harrow residents should brace themselves for upcoming roadworks that will take place from May 19 to May 23 in various locations across the borough.

The roadworks are being undertaken by Harrow Council and Affinity Water and are all likely to start on Friday (19 May).

One of the affected areas is Long Elmes in Harrow Weald. From May 19 to May 23, traffic control measures in the form of Stop/Go boards will be implemented.

Roadworks will also be taking place in Watford Road in Harrow. From May 19 to May 23, a lane closure will be in effect. This traffic management measure will allow the necessary maintenance work to be carried out efficiently. Commuters and drivers should expect delays.

West Harrow’s Bessborough Road will also experience roadworks during the same period. Traffic control will be implemented using two-way signals to manage the flow of vehicles. These roadworks are part of essential maintenance being conducted by Affinity Water. The work primarily focuses on improving services such as stop tap replacements, meter fittings, leak detection, and repairs.

The current status of all three projects is in the advanced planning phase.

Authorities advise residents and road users to remain patient and consider alternative routes if possible. They also recommend planning journeys in advance, allowing extra time to account for potential delays.
