Subway, the popular fast-food chain located at 288 Northolt Road in South Harrow, has achieved a commendable Food Hygiene Rating of 5 (‘Very Good’) from Harrow Council.
The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, implemented by local authorities across the UK, aims to ensure that food establishments maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety practices. The rating is based on three key areas: Food Hygiene and Safety, Structural Compliance, and Confidence in Management.
Subway excelled in all three categories in the inspection at the end of March. In terms of Food Hygiene and Safety, the establishment achieved a rating of ‘Very Good’, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout their operations.
Regarding Structural Compliance, Subway in South Harrow was rated as ‘Good’. This category assesses the overall condition of the premises, including cleanliness, layout, ventilation, and pest control.
Furthermore, the ‘Confidence in Management’ category, which evaluates the systems in place for managing food safety and hygiene, garnered a rating of ‘Very Good’ for Subway.
