Hillingdon Police arrested a young male in Hayes town yesterday (22 May) after discovering a concealed knife in his possession.
The incident unfolded as part of the West Area Violent Suppression Unit’s (VSU) ongoing efforts to maintain public safety and combat knife crime in the area.
The official Twitter account of Hillingdon Police shared the news, stating, “#WestAreaVSU team 2 arrested a young male in Hayes town earlier today. He had this nasty weapon hidden in his waistband. He tried to run but had no chance once we had him in our sights. Charged and remanded to court tomorrow morning. #noexcuses #alwayslooking.”
Upon discovering the concealed knife, the suspect attempted to flee the scene. However, the tenacity and efficiency of the Hillingdon Police ensured that he was swiftly apprehended and brought under control.
Following the arrest, the young male was charged and remanded to court.
