The park, renowned for its sprawling open spaces, beautiful gardens, and thriving wildlife, will once again play host to the highly anticipated return of the Harrow Steel Band.
The park boasts a myriad of attractions, including a tranquil pond adorned with a charming hut housing budgies, a serene peace garden, an exciting children’s play area, and a cosy café. Notably, the esteemed Heath Robinson Museum, known for its focus on environmental awareness and creative learning, is also located within the park’s premises giving a glimpse into Harrow’s history.
Visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in a range of engaging workshops, clubs, and captivating exhibitions that promote problem-solving, inventive thinking, and the art of junk modelling.
Pinner Memorial Park takes great pride in collaborating once again with the Harrow Steel Band, a charitable organisation founded in 2019. This unique steel band, situated in Harrow, has successfully cultivated a diverse community of talented musicians between the ages of 13 and 21.
Guided by their passion for complex music, the band nurtures their skills through aural learning within a steel band ensemble. The Harrow Steel Band warmly embraces individuals from various backgrounds, offering them a sense of belonging while fostering essential leadership and teamwork abilities that will undoubtedly benefit them throughout their lives.
Set against the idyllic backdrop of the park’s natural beauty, attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic and chairs to the event. The event, scheduled for July 30th from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, promises a delightful experience for music enthusiasts of all ages.
